One reason I'm glad I'm no longer a teacher...

...I get to go out with my students! (although I still can't seem to deactivate my automatic English switch when talking to them, haha) Thanks for a great afternoon guys! JT, you will be missed. Best of luck to you and take care. :)

CHER!!!

Awwwww. I enjoyed the afternoon too. =) It's ok if you don't speak to us in Fil. It'll seem pretty weird if you do find that off switch. We're used to having convos with you in English that if we do slip into Filipino... it not only sounds wrong, it feels wrong too. But am sure you'll find it soon. Like Ramos' quest for her laugh. It'll pop out soon... hopefully.

Thanks. =) I'll miss Wis.. er.. Sobreity too. This only means we need to hang out more. ^_^ Yeah!! KAIN ULIT!!!

why is it bawal for teachers to go out with students? kahit mag-attend ng mga debut? we're all girls naman eh.

SobrIEty, JT. :p Yeah, we should definitely go out again, and hopefully more people can make it, including our friend with the lost laugh. Haha.

Kassie: Well, it's in the handbook. :) Fraternizing with students is not allowed. I think it's for security reasons more than anything. The teacher would be responsible for whatever happens to the students during the outing, and she would also risk being accused of playing favorites. I don't know if special occasions like debuts count though. It sounds extreme, I know, but I'm sure the school has its reasons for setting that rule. I'm just glad I now have the full freedom to be friends with my students. ;)

Does my comment have to be in English??? haha! Well, I just want to agree with you that its one of the things I'm glad too for not teaching anymore. The freedom to go out with students!:) I just believe in following through relationships. And striking a balance between customizing relationships (because people are different and has unique needs) and being fair to everyone (because you have to do to all what you do for one student). Ms. Lim, please excuse some grammatical errors. I'm sorry, I just can't help but be paranoid about my English esp. if you're the reader! Lalo pa ata nagkakakmali! Glad I'm not your student :P

Cool! Meeting up with your former students and having lunch, etc. Wait, you could still have lunch together dati ah...i mean, you could eat lunch at one of the school's different concessionaires. Take your pick, anna's, big burp, and the other canteen at the hscc. Whahahahaha :D Forgive the grammatical errors and the spelling boo boos. I didn't know that wasn't allowed! Hehe :D Have a great day! :D

I know we had dine-in meetings for Culture Shack but I don't think lunch under the gallery counts as "fraternizing." ;p
